The Use of Stone Bricks in Bangladesh in Making Robots

Sand lime bricks

Sand lime bricks, which are also called “calcium silicate stone bricks in Bangladesh ” from a scientific point of view based on their ingredients, were invented in 1886 and the materials used to make them include lime and siliceous sand and are formed under pressure and steam conditions.

Take And they are significantly the same in shape, resistance, size, color and texture.

In normal conditions, the strength, hardness and durability of sand lime bricks are suitable for almost all purposes; But they should not be placed in acidic environments or strong soluble salts.

The fire resistance of these types of bricks can be considered equal to the resistance of clay bricks.

The coefficient of sound and heat conduction from the thickness of the wall is almost the same as that of clay bricks with the same density.

bricks

Sand lime bricks do not have soluble salts with them, so the reactions that clay bricks show in the form of scale and non adhesion of mortar and coating and the attack of sulfates in Portland cement do not occur in sand lime bricks.

Unlike fresh clay bricks, which tend to expand, sand lime bricks shrink when they dry, and this should be taken into account when designing to prevent cracking.

In general, sand lime bricks have the same characteristics as what was said about clay bricks.

But they also have limitations.

Due to the greater effect of water on these types of bricks compared to the clay type, it is not recommended to use them in the construction of foundations and porcelain seats.

Due to the fact that continuous contact with direct and high heat causes dehydration of calcium hydrosilicate, they are not suitable for the inner lining of furnaces; But in terms of performance, these types of bricks are much smaller than clay bricks.

Cement brick: Cement brick is made with the help of cement and sand, and from the point of view of properties and technical specifications, they are equal to concrete blocks.

Cement bricks are made in different shapes and sizes, and their production process is similar to concrete blocks.

Firebricks are actually a type of porcelain that is made from refractory soils.

Refractory is approx.

Firebricks are used in the inner lining of industrial furnaces due to their high thermal resistance.

There are different types of refractory bricks, according to the type of material used in their compositions, they tolerate different ranges.

Until the 1960s, carbon and refractory clay were used to cover furnaces, but today, with the production of various types of refractory bricks, they are used in the inner lining of furnaces.
